Jurimex Honorary President Danylo Getmantsev and Senior Attorney Svitlana Yazykova took part in the Third annual CIS-EU Legal Forum EuroLawyer held on April 15-16, 2010 in London.
EuroLawyer 2010 was devoted to the prospects of joint development of state and business. The event’s discussion sessions called in representatives of leading law firms, investment institutions, state bodies, and specialized social organizations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the European Union (EU) to consider political risks, peculiarities of legislative regulation and models of public-private partnership, antitrust regulation and protection of foreign investments, as well as resolution of investment, arbitration, and corporate disputes. According to Danylo Getmantsev, the forum of a high valuable since it provoked investigation of the issues of improving the CIS countries’ investment attractiveness simultaneously from the perspective of business needs, the state’s capability to satisfy them, and also expectations of foreign partners and their international experience in implementing economic and legislative reforms. In this situation the lawyers had the roles of intermediary agents who could provide all the parties of the investment relationships with both theoretical and practical solutions of the questions.
